**Job Overview/Summary**:
The Bangkok-based Cultural Orientation Manager is responsible for overseeing all day to day activities of the RSC Cultural Orientation office in Bangkok in coordination with the CO and Training Coordinator. The CO Manager is responsible for arranging and providing CO to urban populations in and around Bangkok as well as camp populations including provision of contract interpreters for urban CO cases. Additionally, the position ensures the delivery of regional CO, including direct implementation and/or provision of materials as appropriate. The position also supervises the Senior CO Program Officer based in Bangkok and oversees the development and implementation of the CO training schedule, taking over scheduling responsibilities as/when needed and ensure the accuracy of CO records in START and a monthly report. The CO Manager is responsible for the development of CO curricula and materials. The CO Manager collaborates with partner agencies, NGOs, and CBOs on the ground as appropriate. The CO Manager works closely with CO Managers in Mae Sot and Kuala Lumpur and reports to the CO and Training Coordinator.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Assist with development and implementation of the CO training schedule including arrangements for facilities and interpreters in and around Thailand as well as regional locations;
- Assist in developing and monitoring CO budget for overall program activities;
- Conduct CO training sessions in Bangkok and other RSC Asia locations, including remote sessions;
- Directly supervise Bangkok-based Senior CO Program Officer;
- Develop and design the CO curricula and coordinate for translation as needed;
- Assist with development and implementation of IC materials as needed;
- Ensure the CO curriculum course content remains current and accurate through communication with other CO program and the CO and Training Coordinator;
- Assist in preparing monthly reports for submission to the CO and Training Coordinator;
- Communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with partner agencies including the UNHCR, IOM, the Regional Refugee Coordinator’s office, the Thai Royal Government offices, numerous NGOs and CBOs;
- Maintain a current understanding of the overall U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, resettlement issues and policies related to CO;
- Ensure the accurate maintenance of START database records including CO scheduling, post-CO data entry, and perform quality control checks regularly;
- Oversee the stock of CO materials and ensure the accuracy of CO inventory.
- Maintain close contact with the CO and Training Coordinator;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**External**: USRAP partners including IOM, UNHCR, Regional Refugee Coordinator’s office, Thai Royal Government offices, CORE

**Qualifications**

**Job Requirements**:
**Education**: University degree in relevant field or equivalent professional experience;
**Work Experience**:

- Program management and/or staff supervisory experience;
- At least two years of experience in teaching/training adults, preferably in a refugee, or limited literacy context;
- Work experience in refugee resettlement processing is preferable;
- Experience in developing and refining teaching curricula and providing feedback to supervisor in order to improve curricula content;

**Demonstrated Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and clients in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment;
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, work independently, detail-oriented, set priorities, effectively manage time and staff, and meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in database management, Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Google Suite; familiar with START preferred;
- Flexibility and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment;
- Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and regionally, including remote settings.

**Language Skills**:Excellent spoken and written English and Thai;
**Working Environment**:The position is located at the RSC office in Bangkok. While primarily operating in a standard office work environment, the position does require domestic travel to refugee camp locations and detention centers as well as international travel
