Our client is a well-known paint and coatings company. They are now looking for Commercial Head to be responsible for strategically analyzing and establishing retail business opportunities to maximize profitability, contribution margin, sales, and market share in the assigned markets.

**Functional Responsibilities**
- Strategically lead, analyze and establish business strategies for the country, in line with SESA strategy.
- Develop, implement and control annual sales plans in order to achieve agreed business objectives and strategies in consultation with the Regional Managing Director and other supporting functions.
- Agreeing on the functional strategies in line with the overall strategy to deliver business goals.
- Provide guidance and direction to functions at country level to enhance functional capability and excellence.
- Being responsible for ensuring the delivery of goals leading to customer satisfaction.
- Creating a collaborative culture within the country where all the functions work closely and invest in each others’ success to achieve objectives.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement across all the functions and act as a project leader to review their progress.
- Ensure the effectiveness of business policies and frameworks and set clear direction to avoid conflict and dispute amongst different functions, and ensure a conducive business environment that leads to a win-win partnership.
- Provide clarity on the goals and objectives to be achieved by the country as well as individual functions.
- Lead the senior team, and develop skills and abilities of team members with ongoing coaching and counselling, utilizing internal HR and/or external consultants when required.
- Work closely with Function Leaders to set the performance targets and evaluate the performance of the function headsy.
- Build a transparent, consistent and performance driven culture in the company to motivate staff to put in discretionary effort.
- Work closely with management to build and improve organization capability.
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance across all the functions.
- Organize and implement public relations plans through Corporate Communication functions and PR agencies.
- Maintain high level relationships with trade partners, trade suppliers and the general business community.
- Establish and maintain customer relations, networks and customer services especially relating to key opinion leaders in order to achieve customer satisfaction and enhance the image of the company in the market.
- Ensure the successful implementation of all corporate SOPs and safety/security policies/crisis management and product recall procedures, including other general SOPs as required in order to maintain good corporate practice, company reputation, and safeguard all company assets.
- Based on business requirements and strategy, lead/participate in projects for clarifying/enhancing business processes.
- Commit time and resources for making the business more effective.
- Share and leverage best practices across the region.
- Create awareness of growth potential in the country.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Develop, implement, and control annual sales plans in order to achieve agreed business objectives and strategies in consultation with the Regional Managing Director and other supporting functions, and spend effectively according to the annual marketing plan.
- Recommend and guide teams on the current market trends, competition intelligence, penetration and effectiveness of all sales, and channel and marketing programs to enhance the overall business effectiveness.
- Drive cross functional collaboration to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction (external and internal). Work with peer groups and regional functional heads across RD&I, Marketing, Integrated Supply Chain, Finance, HR and IM for profitable growth and business excellence.
- Drive high workplace engagement through providing overall direction. Lead the Management Team and provide overall leadership for local operational matters, in consultation with the respective peer group Regional Function Heads.
- Represent the company externally to the related industry/business associations and government agencies. Serve on the board of the country and in shareholder relationships, ensuring that the company complies with all aspects of corporate governance including but not limited to HSE&S, business code of conduct, and local laws & regulations.

**Requirements**:

- At least 15 years of extensive experience in Sales, Marketing and Channel Management in paints, coatings, consumer durables, FMCG or the lubricants industry.
- Significant experience of being part of a Regional/Global Senior Management team.
- Successful record in leading and building collaborative cross-functional senior teams.
- Experience in P&L responsibility.
