Head of Business Development - Contract Logistics

YOUR ROLE

As the Head of Business Development - Contract Logistics, you will be responsible for driving business growth and enhancing customer relationships in the dynamic markets of Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. This key leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in contract logistics and a deep understanding of the supply chain industry.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

New Business Acquisition:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and secure new contract logistics opportunities.
- Actively engage with potential clients, conduct market research, and analyze industry trends to identify new business avenues.

Client Relationship Management:

- Nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide innovative solutions that contribute to their success.

Market Expansion:

- Identify and evaluate potential markets for expansion within Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
- Work closely with the executive team to develop market entry strategies and ensure successful implementation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Provide insights to guide product development and service enhancements based on market demands.

Sales Performance and Reporting:

- Set ambitious but achievable sales targets and monitor performance against these goals.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for the leadership team, highlighting key business development metrics, market trends, and opportunities.

Contract Negotiation:

- Lead negotiations for new contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.

Team Leadership:

- Build and lead a high-performing business development team, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development within the contract logistics or supply chain industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and market dynamics in Southeast Asia.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
