**Your New Role**
An exciting full-time opportunity has arisen to join CNN, the No.1 International news brand and one of the largest publishers of premium content in the world.
Based in Bangkok, Thailand, you will be responsible for generating revenue from the distribution of CNN to hotels and commercial premises across Thailand. You will play a key role in driving the growth of CNN’s Commercial Distribution business in the region, focusing on expanding our presence in the hospitality sector and managing client relationships.
As the Sales Manager, Commercial Distribution, Thailand, you will report to the Director, Commercial Distribution, APAC, and work closely with internal teams to implement sales strategies and maximize revenue opportunities.
**The Daily**
The Sales Manager, Commercial Distribution, Thailand, will have the following responsibilities:
- ** Revenue Growth**: Drive revenue growth by increasing sales of CNN content to hotels and commercial premises in Thailand.
- ** Client Management**: Maintain and manage relationships with existing clients while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- ** New Business Development**: Actively seek out and pursue new opportunities for distributing the CNN International channel in hotels and commercial establishments across Thailand.
- ** Upselling CNN TAP**: Promote and upsell CNN TAP, a CNN-managed customer WiFi API, to current and potential hotel clients. Collaborate with the Digital Ad Sales team to integrate the latest Ad Sales campaigns into CNN TAP offerings.
- ** Market Research**: Conduct research on the hotel pipeline and monitor hotel opening statuses in Thailand to identify potential business opportunities.
- ** Sales Administration**: Maintain accurate sales records and activity reports, ensuring smooth workflows and timely updates.
- ** Hotel Partnership Programme (HPP)**: Manage and update client hotel details on the HPP website, ensuring accurate reporting and promoting the programme to new and existing clients.
- ** Contract Management**: Assist in the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
- ** Financial Oversight**: Work with the Finance team to monitor account performance, track accounts receivables, and ensure timely payments from clients.
**The Essentials**
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the hospitality, media, or technology sectors.
- ** Ideally with experience in selling TV channels or content to hotels**, with a strong understanding of the licensing and distribution process.
- Strong understanding of the Thai hospitality market and experience working with hotels or commercial premises is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Highly motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential. Fluency in Thai is highly preferred.
- A university degree or equivalent qualification is desirable.
