Asean Technical Sales Manager

Provide VOC as a mechanism to understand the accounts’ technology, strategic direction, and electronic/electrical connectivity needs to TE internal teams
- Work on new product pipeline and win new projects to ensure future growth in line with 5 years Strategy plan
- Major contributor towards TE's organic growth and share gain strategy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Be the initial point of contact for customer’s local engineering group in ASEAN (Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia and Malaysia)
- Build credible customer relationships and be accepted as a competent partner by the customers intimately
- Develop deep understanding of customer's system architecture beyond the automotive product portfolios
- Translation of the voice of customer into product requirements
- Support the project management of new and existing sales and engineering projects from demand creation to production
- Interface between the TE Engineering design team and customer to ensure that both sides understand the requirements and have all needed information available
- Work in close cooperation with the sales/Product management and engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
- Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs.
- Ability to present the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customers.
- Visit on-site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution.
- Support MARCOM activities such as Articles, Flyers, Fairs, and Tech Days
- A strong team player with good communication skills with global mindset
- Provide product training (internal and external)
**What your background should look like**:
- Bachelors' or Masters' degree in engineering discipline; electrical engineering preferred. (or equivalent) with a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in automotive connector knowledge. OEMs working experience a plus
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes of stamping, molding, plating, and automated product assembly are a plus but not necessary to be considered for shortlist.
- Experience in development engineering and participation in full product development cycle
- Strong capability to turn customer needs into business opportunities
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a matrix organization
- Innovative thinker and problem solver. Willingness to push for better solutions
- Outstanding networking, influencing, and listening skills
- Experience reading/interpreting production level drawings
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to key customers within ASEAN and other TE sites
- Willingness to develop technical skills
