TOMRA Recycling has pioneered the use of sensor-based technology for automating the recovery and recycling of valuable resources. The flexible sorting systems perform an extensive range of sorting tasks and can sort various types of materials and minerals with the purpose of preparation for recycling, and material upgrading.
Sensor-based sorting technology is critical to reducing the dependency on primary raw materials and mitigating the environmental impact caused by landfills and incineration. Currently TOMRA Recycling has an installed base of over 10,000 units across more than 40 markets.
TOMRA Recycling is a member of the TOMRA Group founded in 1972 that began with the design, manufacture, and sale of reverse vending machines (RVMs) for automated collection of used beverage containers. Today TOMRA provides technology-led solutions that enable the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems that optimize resource recovery and minimize waste in the food, recycling, and mining industries.
- The Sales Manager for Southeast Asia will collaborate closely with the VP of Sales for Asia and colleagues worldwide in the Recycling division, along with local partners, to promote and market Tomra Recycling products across Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and more.
- Extensive travel within Southeast Asia will be a fundamental aspect of this role.
- Primary focus on sales activities within Southeast Asian markets.
- Support and execute consultative technical sales initiatives aligned with the overarching Recycling business strategy in the region.
- Identify customer needs and present value-driven business proposals encompassing both technical and commercial aspects.
- Foster and sustain strong relationships with partners and customers within the designated scope.
- Maintain ongoing communication with relevant authorities, staying well-informed and closely monitoring trends and advancements in the waste and Recycling sectors.
**Qualifications**
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential, along with fluency in any regional language (Thai, Bahasa, Vietnamese) or Chinese, which is highly advantageous.
- We seek individuals who are ambitious, entrepreneurial, passionate, and dynamic, with a strong ability to collaborate within a team while also capable of working independently.
- Applicants should demonstrate a quick grasp of Tomra's products and markets, coupled with a hands-on approach and unwavering integrity, embodying a sense of ownership towards the business.
- Prior experience in selling high-tech, high-value capital equipment, with an understanding of value-driven sales techniques, is preferred.
- Additional experience in the waste and recycling industry would be highly advantageous.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a business-related field is required.
- A valid, clean driving license is essential.
- The ability to function effectively as part of a team is a must.
