Coordinator, Distribution Administration

At Sony Pictures, the theatrical distribution team in Bangkok is the engine that drives the Thai moviegoers reach of our movies in cinemas. We’re seeking a qualified admin coordinator who can help keep this engine running with their own sales skills. We are seeking a meticulous and a fast-learning sales administrator to manage our vast industry’s theatrical box office data. In this role, you will also complete periodical sales reports. To ensure success, he/she should have experience in a theatrical sales environment and advanced administrative skills. Outstanding sales administrators understand theatrical film performance metrics and provide excellent administrative support to ensure box office targets of all Sony releases are met.
**Specific Responsibilities**
1. Entering and maintain comprehensive collection of data in Sony’s web-based portals on daily basis.
- Submission of daily Box office grosses, admission, screens, print formats, etc. of all Sony and competitive releases in the market.
- Submission of related information such as weekly new releases, movies status, censorship ratings, annual reports, new theaters, new circuits, new customers, etc.
- Deliver each film’s revenue to Finance and Accounting department for invoicing.
- Entering and maintain data such as new releases, film formats, costs, etc.
- Examination of software functional suitability.
3. Running regular checks, organizing and correcting data in all web-based platforms. Caring for Box office reconciliation.
4. Record-keeping of Box office, revenue, retention rates, costs, net contribution.
5. Providing reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually to head of Distribution and Sales as well as Managing Director for example, Box office reports, weekend trading reports, industry performance reports, annual reports, etc.
6. Preparation of non-periodical (ad hoc) reports to Sony Pictures home office/ regional office upon requested.
7. Preparation of daily Box office figures to associated departments internally.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in theatrical distribution or exhibition.
- Previous experience in sales administration or a similar role preferred.
- Good command of English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)
- Experience with industry software such as Vista, box office web-based portals or similar.
- Familiarity with sales reports and box office records.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks and willing to work holidays and weekends.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Passion in films and cinema-going.
