**About the Unit**:

Yara Africa & Asia (YAA) produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa regions, with offices location and operational units in 20 countries. The region employs over 1800 employees and has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, focusing on develop crop nutrition concepts that increase food production and create value to the growers, in particular smallholder farmers, whilst minimizing environmental impact of agricultural activities.

YAA is currently undergoing a major transformation, aimed at shifting the existing business models, generating new revenue streams and ultimately delivering profit through new Farming Solutions related activities.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for shipment plan for specialty products aligned with commercial department & other stakeholders to ensure product availability
- Manage physical/information flow for import/export processes
- Oversee & ensure product quality/security in the logistics processes.
- Manage insurance claims and coordinate with all related parties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies and contractors.
- Ensure contingency plan are in place from discharge port to final destination.
- Oversee the local logistics handling of Urea trade business.
- Be the local key contact for our Urea buyers.
- Ensure compliance to Yara & government regulations regarding logistics processes (fertilizer registration, customs, product analysis, price setting & mandatory reporting)
- Manage the logistics fixed budget & PVC.
- Set-up SOPs, key performance indicators & OKRs related to logistics.
- Lead operational excellence activities within logistics and cost-saving activities.
- Develop plans and set goals to reduce environmental impact of local logistics activities

**Education and Experience**:

- University Degree within Business Administration, Management with major in supply chain operations or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of managing bulk cargo experience
- Basic knowledge of planning and insurance both marine and property
- Project management experience, with a discipline to execute on timelines

**HESQ and Ethics & Compliance**:

- Work in accordance with H&S policy and relevant legislation, Yara safety and security principles and golden rules
- Always act in accordance with Ethics & Compliance policy as defined by Yara globally

**Other requirements**:

- Fluent in English & Thai
- Driving license required
- Willingness to travel and visit plant/warehouses as and when required
