- YOUR ROLEYou are to be responsible to supervise daily Customs Brokerage entry operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of transactions, as well as compliance with company policies, procedures and other regulatory requirements.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?You will contact customers to update shipment arrival times and requests any supporting documents such as HBL, shipping invoice, packing list and other (if any) in order to arrange customs import entry. Verify the accuracy of shipping documents and compares with corresponding records in order to confirm import manifests to shipping liners/co-loaders. Contact shipping lines/co-loaders regarding import manifest submissions, including shipment confirmation, import shipment details such ATA Date/BL number/port of discharge/vessel name, the shipment terms and conditions and other special requirements on the import shipment. Work with the shipping team in order to re-check and re-confirm accuracy of paperless customs import entry before further processing customs clearance at the port of discharge.- Provide feedback to customers and requests for customer authorization in case of any non-conformance issue, including cargo damages, cargo shortage, etc. Review and inspect work procedure and monitors the activities concerned to ensure conformance. Establishing standards in areas such as how to issue customs import entries accurately, how to deliver shipments to customers on time, etc. Meet with managers and other supervisors to stay informed of changes affecting operations.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?You should have Bachelor’s degree. Customs Specialist license. Working experience in freight forwarding and customs brokerage. Customer interface experience. Demonstrated success in leading, supervising and motivating high performance teams. In-depth knowledge of generally accepted ocean import customs brokerage & customs rules and regulation principles. Specialist knowledge in customs procedures. Problem solving skill. Strong communication and presentation skills.
