Thales people architect solutions that support 85 million mainline and suburban passenger journeys, worldwide, every day. Our Rail Signalling and Communication systems are used on metro lines across major cities, and 72,000 kms of route, 52,000 trains per day in 16 countries are controlled by our Traffic Management Systems. Together We deployed the first-ever nationwide ticketing system which processes over 50 million ticketing transactions in 100 cities daily.
Thales has been present in Thailand since the early 1990s, opening its first representative office in Bangkok in 2005. Today, Thales Thailand employs 45 people, and has numerous programmes and achievements to its name in both the civil and defence sectors. The Group is a long-term strategic supplier of defence systems for the Royal Thai Army and Navy. In aerospace, Thales plays a key strategic role, delivering country-wide solutions to Thai customers in the area of air traffic management, radars and navigation aids. Thales is supplying ground transportation solutions to the main and urban rail lines in the area of signalling and fare collection.
The Role
We are looking for a Project Assistant to coordinate project activities, including simple tasks and larger plans. You will manage schedules, arrange assignments and communicate progress to all team members.
Your responsibilities include preparing action plans, analyzing risks and opportunities and gathering necessary resources. For this role, you will work with a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators, so good communication and collaboration skills are essential.
Ultimately, you will ensure our projects meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
**Responsibilities**:
- Schedule regular meetings and record decisions (e.g. assigned tasks and next steps)- Break projects into doable tasks and set timeframes and goals- Create and update workflows- Conduct risk analyses- Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders- Order resources, like equipment and software- Retrieve necessary information (e.g. user/client requirements and relevant case studies)- Track expenses and predict future costs- Monitor project progress and address potential issues- Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements- Measure and report on project performance- Act as the point of contact for all participants
**Requirements**:
- Work experience as a Project Administrator, Project Coordinator or similar role- Hands-on experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules- Solid organizational and time-management skills- BSc in Business Administration or related field- Good in English (communication + writing)
