Position Overview

Assist in monitoring/tracking colleague relations issues including resolution and follow-up. Assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues. Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards. Inform Human Resources management of issues related to colleague relations. Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from colleagues and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines. Disseminate information to colleagues related to employer-colleague relations, colleague activities, and personnel policies and programs. Review and ensure accurate maintenance of all colleague records and files (e.g., interview documents). Assist in logistics, administration, and scheduling of annual colleague surveys. Answer phone calls and record messages.

The Role

Assist management in screening resumes, conducting interviews and selecting new hourly hires using selection tools and systems.
Ensure that hourly colleagues are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
Serve as colleagues' first point of contact as part of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
Assist management in preparing payroll of hourly colleagues (e.g., ensure accuracy, adjustments, and distribution).
Assist management in determining and administering appropriate disciplinary action for hourly colleagues.
Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
Handle sensitive issues with colleagues and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
Actively listen to and consider the concerns of other colleagues, responding appropriately and effectively.
Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other colleagues and departments.
Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.
Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies and standards.
Maintain confidentiality and security of colleague and property records, files, and information.
Answer phone calls and record messages.
Ensure accurate maintenance of all colleague records and files (e.g., interview documents, reference checks, applicant self-identification forms, department orientation check list).

Talent Profile

Minimum two (2) years of experience in similar role in a luxury resort / hotel.
Part qualification in a Bachelor degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Hospitality Management
Competent computing skills (e.g. Microsoft Office) and knowledge in HR systems (Eagle).
Excellent interpersonal skills with personable character, a team
- player and good at cultivating strong guest relations.
Good command of spoken and written English.
Excellent complex problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills & detail oriented.
