- Are you passionate about improving patient journeys and optimizing treatment plans? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated _**_Case Manager - patient relations_**_ to join our team in the APAC region._
April’s philosophy is to manage complex medical cases with utmost care and ensure the best possible medical outcome at reasonable and customary costs while providing to the patient with a concierge-like service experience. The position holder will
- Coordinate and oversee the patient journey for complex cases from issuing Letters of Guarantee, discharge, and rehabilitation to full recovery
- Challenge provider when necessary to discuss a treatment plan or length of stay
- Explain the benefit plan to members and their dependents, keep members up to date on remaining benefits, and discuss, if appropriate, alternative treatment plans.
- Explore third-party recovery to control medical costs, negotiate cost sharing with other payers,
- Proactively negotiate medical costs with providers to achieve reduced costs to the business,
- Coordinate steerage and second medical opinion for relevant cases and coordinate to ensure a smooth process for the customer
- Ensure excellent customer experience along patient journey,
- Collaborate with different team members including claims, network, medical team, sales and customer service.
**Requirements**:
- A degree in a relevant healthcare field, such as Medicine, or Nursing, Healthcare Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members and medical professionals.
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and clinical procedures, with the ability to understand and interpret medical information accurately.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
