Head of Business Development

In this role, you will identify new business opportunities and partnership (sponsor, commercial, events, performance, new business model etc.) opportunities, as well as identifying potential artists and managing artist related projects in Thailand Present strategic recommendations to senior management and negotiate deals with digital partners that benefit Sony Music's entire artist roster & repertoire, while closely collaborating with teams across the SME Thailand and Regional.
**What you'll do**:
- Business Development_
- Expand our client network and to drive strategic new business with partners include but not limited to media agencies and brand owners.
- Ability to lead and motivate the new business deals in Thailand business integrating our artists and brand solutions to clients.
- Define partnership strategies and execute go-to-market plans independently.
- Work collaboratively with the local team to drive growth and learn / share innovative case studies in the local market & region.
- Negotiate and manage digital content licensing deals that align interests among sophisticated business organizations, including major global media and technology companies.
- Regularly track and benchmark deals performance, and creatively help partners evolve through the changes in the digital music landscape. Coordinate internal communication, analysis and financial modelling to ensure effective information flow, informed decision-making, and sharing of best practices.
- Serve as point of contact, source of guidance and support resource for local digital teams for a selection of markets. Operate as an internal expert to advise on digital content licensing and market development opportunities.
- Make strategic recommendations regarding business opportunities that will deliver new or enhanced revenue streams for SME Malaysia and advise management thoroughly and concisely.
- Work collaboratively with a team of negotiators and dedicated business analysts as well as colleagues across multiple functional areas of the business. Build relationships and enhance the overall organization's culture, diversity and performance.
- Work with the local team to monitor, track, and ensure company business and financial objectives are met, including but not limit to digital business and local digital/licensing deals, artists related projects, new business, brand/syn deals and identify, develop any other commercial opportunities in the market.
- Coordinate with local teams on various business opportunities, provide market support to achieve objectives set.
- Ensure growth of revenue in accordance to Business Plan targets.
- Strategy Diversification to Influencer work, Platform ownership and increased brand and business collaboration.
- Identify and appoint partners to achieve the objectives.

- Ensure the growth of domestic content as % of total revenues
- Manage & maintain day-to-day relationships with current local and new local digital partners.
- Support on account management of partners including agreement renewal, reports and payment.
- Submit deal memo to management for new local digital deals.
- Handle reports on weekly/monthly/yearly/ad-hoc basis.

- Work with marketing to improve digital strategies, especially in conjunction with the Top IFPI TH chart share as well as taking advantage of social media platforms with Music Features.
- Work with A&R to share workload for artist - fan engagements and content development
**Who you are**:
- Proven business networks or track record of success in Thailand.
- Young at heart, energetic and feel with passion to have creative idea, driven ambitious goal getter.
- Very good negotiator with strong business acumen, strategic thinking, great attention to detail with a keen eye for data to make success of business deals.
- Excellent problem-solving, combined with outstanding analytical skills, creativity and efficiency.
- Great verbal and written communications skills combined with interpersonal skills.
- Passion for music, entertainment, game, digital media and innovation is a (big) plus.
- Experience in understanding and interpreting industry situations, business needs, translating this into actionable marketing strategies.
- Strong understanding and ability to grow and train local workforces (ideally with strong experience in moderating and running workshops/brainstorm sessions)
- Confident public speaker with strong experience in pitching and presenting.
- Have a "can-do" attitude and sees obstacles as opportunities to find alternative ways to do things and grow, demonstrating resourcefulness and flexibility
- Fluent in English and Thai.
- Have a thorough understanding of lifestyle and cultural trends.
