Development Team Lead, Digital Support and Feedback

We are looking for an experienced Development Team Lead to join our software engineering team. The Development Team Lead will lead a team of software engineers, fulfilling the role of Scrum Master, Team Lead, Project Coordinator, and Release Manager for software delivered by the team.

The Digital Support & Feedback team is on a mission to deliver a frictionless support experience to Workspace - LSEG's flagship SaaS financial platform - enabling our customers to access contextual and relevant help, drive user self-help / self-sufficiency, deepen understanding and engagement, and reduce pressures on Customer Success Managers and Helpdesk.

This is a people management role with up to 5 direct reports and hands-on coding responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the Agile software engineering team delivering web solutions to Refinitiv Workspace customers- Lead and empower the team, providing mentorship, coaching, and support to ensure their success.- Develop project timelines and ensure that deliverables are completed on time and within budget.- Plan and coordinate software releases, ensuring that all vital testing and quality assurance measures are in place.- Act as a liaison between the team and other stakeholders, including product owners, the PMO, and customers.- Continuously monitor and analyse team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimise team productivity and efficiency.- Facilitate team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.- Manage project risks and issues, ensuring that they are identified, supervised, and resolved in a timely manner.- Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork, encouraging open communication and feedback.- Manage the career development of individuals, providing mentoring and coaching to help them grow professionally.- Work closely with the product owner and PMO to ensure timely delivery on commitments and report on progress upstream.**Qualifications**:
- 10 years of proven experience working with web technologies, using JavaScript/Typescript and Angular.- At least 2 years of experience as a team lead or people manager.- A deep understanding of how Web Browsers work, including in-depth knowledge of Native browser (DOM) APIs, Object-Oriented and Functional Programming, Performance - Layout/Rendering/GC/Object (memory) Management- Understanding of how web frameworks like Angular/React/Vue/Svelte are built under-the-hood- Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).- Experience with project management tools, such as JIRA or Asana.- Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to empower and inspire team members.- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.- Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS/Azure.
