Role Summary
The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing trade strategies to enhance product visibility, distribution, and sales performance across OTC, Pharmacy Chains, Modern Trade, Convenience Stores (CVS), and Medical Channels(hospital,clinic). This role serves as the strategic bridge between the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure brand plans are successfully implemented at the point of purchase.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement channel-specific trade marketing strategies tailored to Pharmacy/OTC, Pharmacy Chains, Modern Trade, CVS, and Medical Channels.
- Translate brand and marketing priorities into effective in-store activations to drive visibility, availability, and conversion.
- Lead the development and execution of the annual trade marketing calendar, ensuring alignment with brand campaigns, new product launches, and sales objectives.
- Plan and oversee promotions, merchandising programs, POSM/POP materials, display solutions, and visibility enhancements across retail environments.
- Partner closely with Sales teams to support retailer negotiations, listing efforts, and joint business planning.
- Manage trade spend and ensure budget efficiency through continuous ROI analysis and optimization of trade investments.
- Monitor and analyze sell-in / sell-out trends, market share performance, pricing dynamics, competitor activity, and shopper behavior to identify opportunities.
- Ensure planogram compliance and drive improvements in shelf share and distribution quality.
- Lead coordination with external agencies and suppliers on POSM development, merchandising deployment, and activation execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Category Management, or Commercial roles.
- Strong knowledge and proven track record in Pharmacy/OTC, Pharmacy Chains, Modern Trade, CVS, and Medical Channel operations.
- Experience in health products / consumer healthcare / OTC / FMCG is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data dashboard tools is an advantage.
