Role Summary

The Sales Director (Healthcare Business) is responsible for driving the company's strategic commercial direction across all healthcare product categories, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and dietary supplements. This role oversees sales performance across all channels—Hospital, Pharmacy, Modern Trade, Domestic OEM, and International/Export markets. The position requires strong leadership in developing market expansion strategies, driving revenue growth, and strengthening competitive positioning, while providing strategic direction and performance oversight to each Head of Channel to achieve overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Leadership & Commercial Strategy

  • Develop short-term and long-term sales strategies aligned with the company's business direction and objectives.
  • Oversee sales performance and profitability across all healthcare product categories (pharmaceuticals, medical devices, dietary supplements) and all channels, including:

  • Hospital Channel

  • Pharmacy Channel
  • Modern Trade / Retail Health Channel
  • Domestic OEM Business
  • International / Export Channels
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance, analyze trends, and present strategic recommendations to management.

2. Sales Team & International Business Management

  • Supervise, direct, and provide strategic guidance to Head of Channel across all sales channels.
  • Set targets, drive performance, and oversee KPI achievement of each Head of Channel in alignment with company strategies and sales goals.
  • Develop channel leadership capabilities through coaching, problem-solving support, and strategic execution guidance.
  • Strengthen team performance through training programs, coaching, and motivational leadership initiatives.

3. Domestic and International Market Expansion

  • Develop and manage Domestic OEM Business, including negotiation, production planning, pricing strategy, and key customer management.
  • Formulate export and international market expansion strategies, identify new distributors/partners, and manage international business relationships.
  • Collaborate with RA/QA teams to understand regulatory requirements in foreign markets and ensure proper export and product registration compliance.

4. Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including private and public hospitals, pharmacy chains, and modern trade partners nationwide.
  • Develop and implement Joint Business Plans (JBP) with key customers to ensure alignment and deliver business growth.
  • Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and trade agreements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Managers, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, demand planning, and inventory management to support optimal product availability.
  • Analyze sales performance (sell-in / sell-out) and monitor market dynamics to implement proactive strategies and address business challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in sales or business management within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or dietary supplements.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior managerial or leadership role in sales.
  • Strong understanding of Thailand's healthcare market, including Hospital, Pharmacy, and Modern Trade channels.
  • Experience in Domestic OEM Business or managing contract manufacturing clients is an advantage.
  • Experience in International Business / Export management is required.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
