About the role

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Supervisor to join our team at Nidec Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Ayutthaya. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and inventory management processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and components required for our production operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and coordinate the purchasing activities for the organization, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance
2. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize costs, lead times, and inventory levels
3. Oversee the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring the availability of materials and components to support production
4. Collaborate with production, logistics, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with business requirements
5. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the purchasing function
6. Provide training and guidance to purchasing team members to enhance their skills and capabilities
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management, preferably in the manufacturing or production industry
2. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
4. Proficient in using various procurement and inventory management software and systems
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
6. Thorough understanding of purchasing best practices, supply chain management, and inventory control principles
7. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
