Job Overview

SPEA Thailand Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of SPEA S.p.A Group, is a global leader in designing and implementing testing systems for microchips and electronic boards. We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller & Operations Specialist to join our team in Bangkok.

Responsibilities
  • Monthly Closing and Financial Reporting: Provide support to corporate teams by ensuring accurate and timely monthly closing, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Audit and Compliance: Assist in adhering to Group processes and directives, ensuring seamless audit interactions.
  • Budgeting and Planning: Collaborate closely with the Entity Management team to improve budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.
  • Cost Accounting and Reporting System: Enhance and maintain the Cost Accounting and Reporting System to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operations Support: Offer assistance in accounting, HR, and administration functions for a small entity, guaranteeing smooth operations.
  • JDE Key User: Serve as the key user on JDE and interface with Group IT to ensure efficient system management.
  • Office Coordinator: Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all relevant activities related to office coordination, encompassing HR, accounting, invoicing, credit collection, corporate secretary, reception, external consultant management, administrative, procurement, and inventory processes.
Requirements and Soft Skills
  • Financial Process Evaluation: Experience in evaluating, integrating, and maintaining main financial process flows, including procure to pay, order to cash, record to report, and stock transfers.
  • Closing Activities: Month-end closing expertise, including intercompany reconciliation, fixed asset takes, stock takes, balance sheet reconciliations, product/project costing, and budgeting.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Skilled in creating budgets and forecasts.
  • JDE Knowledge: Proficiency in JDE is an added advantage.
  • Reporting and Writing: Strong skills in process description and report writing.
  • MS Office Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Thai language proficiency or native speaker.
  • Soft Skills: Proactive, independent self-starter with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel when required.
Education and Experience
  • Accounting and Finance Expertise: Hands-on experience in accounting and finance for small entities, preferably sales offices or manufacturing units.
  • Qualifications: University degree in economics, finance, or accounting.
  • Information Systems: Knowledge of information systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
