Regional Sales Manager

Position Objective:
The primary function of the Regional Sales Manager is to provide leadership to the sales specialists in the region and direction in order to meet / exceed the annual sales and order budget and ensure long term sustained growth and profitability. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for implementing the Global F&B Sales Strategy in conjunction with Global Product Managers, Regional Marketing, Scientific Laboratory Services (SLS), and Sales Specialist with the region. The position is also responsible for the coaching, development, and engagement of the regional sales team.
Sales Revenue 70%
- To communicate the strategic direction as set by the Management for the region and put appropriate plans in place to address the specific opportunities.
- Ensure that the market operates profitably in line with the contribution requirements set by Business requirements.
- Achieve or exceed portfolio growth requirements through the generation of new business sales and improved retention of existing business.
- Review and prepare regular reports of progress to budget targets and forecast or funnel reports as required.
- To manage sales funnel and FB bowler to achieve/exceed the targets.
- Collaborate with Customers Service, Supply Chain COE, Finance, SLS, etc.
People Leadership 30%
- Lead and develop Food and Beverage direct reports to deliver business strategy
- To coach, train and develop direct reports to enhance their performance using P4G & D4G
- To identify learning and development needs and arrange for these to be fulfilled
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or Engineering or equivalent.
- Work Experience: 7+ years in B2B sales experience with three years in technical sales in Food and Beverage or similar process manufacturing environment.
- Strong preference for prior experience as a departmental or district-level sales manager.
- Proven work experience in a sales management or relevant senior sales role or experience in measuring and analyzing performance indicators such as KPI and ROIs.
- Ability to travel approximately 40% to customers and internal meetings as needed.
- Drive growth using DBS tools eg. funnel management, growth room, VM/DM, PSP.
- Excellent written and spoken English and local language(s)

Other Requirements
- Technical Knowledge: Complete working knowledge of Food and Beverage product development, manufacturing and quality.
