Responsibilities & Duties

**We are looking for**:
1. An excellent full-stack design expert who leads the full strategic design process, hands-on, to transform customer insights into impactful business opportunities that drive substantial growth for our clients
- Lead qualitative research, market, and trend analysis, and then synthesize data into actionable insights and tangible artefacts (such as personas, customer journey maps, opportunity maps).
- Co-facilitate design sprints and other design workshops to rapidly produce tangible results-while engaging with the senior management of our clients.
- Help to drive strategic design decisions and balance business needs.
- Envision and conceptualize new business ideas and services with game-changing potential and then bring these ideas and services to life through creative storytelling (all while balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints).
- Iteratively design and refine solutions through low
- to high-fidelity prototypes.
- Set up experiments and pilots to validate/evaluate new products, services, or businesses.

2. A collaborative leader who works closely with case management to support complex cross-functional process management and project delivery, ensuring that I&D delivers to clients successfully
- Consistently help build alignment on case priorities and backlog, enabling a seamless relationship with the business consulting team.
- Effectively collaborate with, co-create with, and influence multiple stakeholders (including case team, client team, experts, outside partners).
- Work closely with Product Managers and Software Engineers within Agile development environments.
- Guide junior strategic designers on cases and support the overall case management to manage the cross-functional project and team workstreams-all while helping to identify, prioritize, and execute on highest value-add activities.
- Help ensure that I&D is successful at delivering high-impact results.

3. A true team advocator who contributes to I&D’s brand and culture
- Enhance I&D’s brand through the support of external reputation-building marketing activities.
- Play an active role in the recruitment of new design talent and evangelizing our capabilities.
- Drive opportunities to teach and transfer knowledge, expertise, and capabilities to Bain teams and client teams.
- Build the I&D knowledge base by capturing learnings from client engagements.
- Take responsibility for onboarding and integrating new talent.
- Serve as a mentor and coach for more junior members of the (design) team.
- Invest in special initiatives and projects that help us scale the function (ops/systems).
