**THE POSITION**

**Technical Sales Representative, Companion Animals **Responsible for executing the sales plan and tactics to assure maximum sales and market penetration within guidelines, policies and directives with key targeted customers.

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Initiate and establish accounts and maintain good relationships with existing customers with high level of customer satisfaction for Companion Animals. Provide support for all sales processes. Coordinate and follow up with relevant parties to ensure that sales objectives and targets are achieved.
- Optimize calls to customers and execution of sales business plan.
- Monitors local market conditions for changes that impact business.
- Develops plans to maximize speaker programs. Adjusts implementation plans on a regular basis (speaker mgmt., advocate development, etc.)
- Manages programs and budgets to stay within standards.
- Identify opportunities that meet both territory and brand tactics.
- Customizes approach for each call on each customer to assess customer needs and increase sales of BI products
- Has excellent understanding of customer priorities/needs and keeps abreast of changes in the local health economy
- Works with related parties and advocates supporting BI products
- Works with speakers, related parties, for given topics and products
- Provides feedback and follow-up to speakers and attendees
- Initiates contacts and network-building among advocates for BI Companion Animals
- Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain BI's excellent reputation within the animal health community and internally

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine or related field.
- Total at least 1-5 years experience in a sales capacity in Companion Animals
- Proven success in sales achivement
- Must be self-motivated, responsible and flexible
- Customer understanding
- Commercial awareness
