**Introduction**:
BBC World Service is an international news provider, part of BBC News, delivering a wide range of language and regional services on digital, TV and radio. It reaches a weekly audience of around 320 million around the world, helping them make sense of the world we live in.

**Main responsibilities**:
Multimedia Reporting: Produce content across all platforms, with a primary focus on digital. This includes originating, researching, reporting, and producing multimedia journalism.

Writing & Translation: Demonstrate excellent Vietnamese language skills. Translate and adapt English content into Vietnamese, maintaining the highest level of linguistic and editorial quality.

Content Creation: Develop analyses, features, and interviews. Write scripts for online videos, and create engaging digital video content for our website and social media platforms.

Editorial Contribution: Pitch story ideas, suggest new angles on ongoing stories, and contribute actively to the editorial planning process.

Research & Production: Conduct research, source contributors and interviewees, and manage the editorial workflow to ensure that content meets BBC standards for accuracy, impartiality, and fairness.

Content Updating: Monitor, update, and revise stories as they develop, ensuring they remain fresh and relevant. Adapt content for various platforms as needed.

You will have proven experience in journalism with a track record of published works in reputable Vietnamese media outlets. In addition:

- Deep understanding of Vietnam’s news, politics, culture, and social issues.
- Strong writing and translation skills in both Vietnamese and English.
- Ability to produce engaging and accurate content under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and creating multimedia content.
- A creative mindset and familiarity with digital journalism trends and audience engagement strategies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, international news environment is a plus.
- Preferred Skills:

- Data-driven approach to evaluating audience behaviours and online trends.
- Familiarity with digital analytics and social media insights to shape content strategy.
