**Assistant Manager - Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing**

**Main Tasks**
- Lead and support the planning and execution of external communications activities - including marketing and advertising campaigns, product launches, media events, and customer conferences - that strengthen the BASF brand in agriculture in Thailand and drive demand for products.
- Provide oversight and strategic guidance on all branding topics. Supervise and guide the use of the BASF brand in across all marketing and communications touchpoints for the Agricultural Solutions business in Thailand.
- Direct the development and implementation of employee communications activities to support business goals, manage change, and to build and strengthen employee understanding, alignment and engagement.
- Supervise the planning and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, including paid social media, SEO/SEM and display advertising campaigns - including measurable targets and objectives for each campaign. Develop and maintain the business’ local web presence to support integrated digital marketing campaigns. Drive the strategic execution of initiatives to strengthen the business’ digital marketing and communications activities.
- Manages and monitors digital investments and budgets across offline and online communication campaigns, planned vs. actual, and recommend the appropriate Optimization Plan (i.e. which ad format / ad copy/ targeting/ platforms to focus on given performance).
- Support media outreach activities to ensure the business’ key messages, brands and initiatives receive regular coverage in the media - and pro-actively cultivate relationships with journalists to help increase positive coverage. Draft and review news releases and media pitches and serve as the primary media relations contact for the Agricultural Solutions business in Thailand.
- Identify and exploit opportunities to raise the profile of BASF Agricultural Solutions in Thailand and position BASF as a thought leader in the industry via participation in industry seminars and events, media interviews, opinion articles and advertising campaigns.
- Counsel and advise members of the business leadership team on the management of communications issues and support them with preparation of high-quality communications messaging and materials for external and internal audiences.
- Coordinate crisis communications and issue management in coordination with all relevant stakeholders - including AP global and regional colleagues and BASF Corporate Affairs in Thailand.
- Track and monitor the effectiveness of marketing and communications activities to show value to business stakeholders. Set measurable objectives for marketing and communications activities and support the measurement and evaluation of these activities.
- Identify, contract with, and oversee external service agencies and contractors providing communications and marketing support.
- Liaise and collaborate with regional and global teams on communications and marketing topics and projects.
- Perform other responsibilities related to communications and marketing as required.

**Qualifications**
- University degree in communications, marketing, business or related field.
- At least 4-5 years of work experience with significant responsibility in a communications or branding function, preferably in a multinational consumer or agriculture related company.
- Strong conceptual thinking and business/marketing sense
- Willing to travel across the country and in rural areas.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai
- In-depth knowledge of offline and online marketing and communications tactics, as well as branding strategy
- Decisive, flexible, open-minded and robust, possessing a lot of initiative
- Creative thinker and team player
