Video Journalist

As a Video Journalist you will have to have the a passion and flair to cover news events and features across the region. You will also be required to work in high-performance teams in the Asia region. Your day will include working closely with colleagues from different media across the region to cover the stories our clients need quickly and accurately. Being excited about international news and the ability to work to tight deadlines is a must.

In this role you will report to the Senior Producer Indochina.

**About the Role**

As a trusted Video Journalist at Reuters, you will:

- Cover news events in Thailand, including breaking news and feature stories
- Film news events and feature stories using broadcast-quality video camera, DSLR, GoPro, and other camera equipment
- Produce, film, edit videos, and write accurate news stories under time pressure to tight deadline both in the field and in the office
- Research and pitch story ideas which travel well for broadcast and digital platforms
- Work as part of a team covering events starting from the planning phase through to field work.
- Work closely with text reporters and photographers daily to produce the stories our clients need.

**About You**

To become a Reuters Video Journalist, you should have:

- The ability to shoot with a professional video camera, produce, edit, write, and deliver a story from the field.
- Sharp eye for visual news elements and video storytelling.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of television editorial technology and social media newsgathering skills.
- Meet tight deadlines and take charge of daily planning.
- Respond courageously to major breaking news events, acting quickly and with live news needs in mind.
