Regional and Compliance Legal Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Legal and Compliance Manager on behalf of our client, a renowned global FMCG company. As the Regional Legal and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing legal and compliance matters and providing strategic guidance to ensure compliance with laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. **Responsibilities**:
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel on a wide range of legal matters to support the company's operations, including commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate governance, competition law, regulatory compliance, and employment law.
- Develop and implement effective legal strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across different markets.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and provide proactive legal support to various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
- Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including distribution agreements, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships, while safeguarding the company's interests.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that impact the FMCG industry and the company's operations.
- Manage legal disputes and litigation matters, working closely with external legal counsel when required.
- Provide legal guidance and support on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives.
- Develop and deliver legal training programs to enhance legal awareness and compliance across the organization.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with the company's code of conduct, ethics policies, and anti-corruption policies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, proactively identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
**Requirements**:
- Law degree from a reputable university, with a lawyer's license in Thailand. Additional qualifications in international jurisdictions are a plus.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Thai.
- Proven experience as a Legal and Compliance Manager or similar role within a multinational FMCG or consumer goods company.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of commercial law, intellectual property, competition law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in managing cross-border legal matters and working with diverse international teams.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice, solve complex legal issues, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to balance legal considerations with commercial objectives.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
