**Job Summary**:Customer Services****:
The Import/Export Coordinator will provide support to the Import/Export Administrator and assist with the preparation of import and export documents in compliance with customs and government regulations.
**_Import/Export Responsibilities:_**:
- Prepares documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures
- Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly.
- Maintains a database that tracks merchandise.
- Processes logistic claims on shortages and overages.
- Prepare various reports related to import/export work
- Update shipment plan regularly
**_Purchasing Responsibilities:_**:
- Raise Purchase Orders in line with business rules
- Ensure Purchase Orders are approved in line with business rules
- Receipt Purchase Order based on an approved goods receipt note
- Request credit notes from suppliers and send to Accounts Payable for processing
- Establish sound relationships with suppliers, ensure lead times are met and expedite outstanding orders
- Drive continuous improvement across Purchasing process
- Issue PR, PO and GR
- Proficiency in SAP system will be an added advantage
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Required Skills/Abilities: _
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and follow up the company policies
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and documentation
- Strong understanding of Purchasing principles and processes
- Experience with Purchasing systems (preferred)
- Analytical and can solve purchasing related problems
- Experienced with MS Office including Word, Excel, SAP and Outlook
**_Education and Experience:_**:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in import-export or similar setting required.
- Prior experience preparing customs and shipping documents preferred.
