Group Industrial Manager

As a Group Industrial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the industrial operations across multiple facilities within the organization (Thailand, India, China). Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and safety standards across all sites. You will provide leadership and guidance to individual Plant Managers at each facility, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
**Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Planning**:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize industrial operations across multiple facilities.
- Collaborate with senior management to define objectives, goals, and performance metrics for industrial operations.
- Identify opportunities for standardization, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
**Leadership and Management**:
- Provide leadership and guidance to Industrial Managers at each facility, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and standards.
- Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching and development opportunities to Industrial Managers.
- Develop talent pipelines and succession plans for key roles within industrial management teams.
**Risk Management**:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks across industrial facilities.
- Establish protocols for crisis management and business continuity planning to ensure resilience in the face of unforeseen events.
Sustainability Initiatives:
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible resource management.
- Evaluate opportunities for renewable energy integration, waste reduction, and eco-friendly practices within industrial operations.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, technologies, and systems across all industrial operations.
- Foster a culture of innovation and adaptability to drive efficiency gains and maintain competitiveness in the market.
**Operations Oversight**:
- Monitor the performance of industrial facilities, including production output, quality standards, and efficiency metrics.
- Analyze operational data and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements across all facilities.
**Resource Allocation and Budget Management**:
- Allocate resources effectively across multiple facilities to optimize productivity and control costs.
- Develop and manage budgets for industrial operations, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Identify opportunities for investment in equipment, technology, and infrastructure to support operational objectives.
**Collaboration and Communication**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Procurement, and Logistics, to support industrial operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with senior management and stakeholders to provide updates on industrial operations, performance, and key initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between individual facilities and corporate headquarters, facilitating communication and alignment on strategic priorities.
**Nuclear Safety**
- Ensure that nuclear safety is considered in decision making and actions, and that it always takes precedence over any other consideration.
- Use a balanced, rigorous, and prudent approach to decision making with respect to quality, cost, and schedule such that nuclear safety is never compromised.
- Ensure that involved personnel understand not only their own responsibilities and the consequences of mistakes, but also those of their immediate colleagues and how these responsibilities complement each other.
- Ensure that key operational and technical positions are filled by competent and knowledgeable persons, and that they are empowered to speak openly.
- Take prompt conservative and preventive actions when an incident that could affect nuclear safety is reported, even if not yet fully understood or documented.
- Communicate transparently to the Board of Directors any issue which might compromise nuclear safety, including any human, technical or organizational issue.
**Regulatory Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and other applicable laws.
- Remain updated on regulatory changes and promptly integrate required adaptations.
**Requirements**:
- Master’s degree in in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (at least 15 years) in managerial roles within manufacturing, industrial operations, or related fields.
