Job responsibilities

Market Research and Data Support

  • Conduct preliminary market research to identify potential store locations and areas for retail growth.
  • Gather and analyze demographic profiles, customer traffic patterns and competitor activities.
  • Support the team with data summaries, reports and insights to aid decision making.

Site Sourcing & Evaluation

  • Assist in identifying and shortlisting potential sites based on defined criteria.
  • Conduct site visits, prepare evaluation checklists, and compile feasibility assessments.
  • Support the Manager in preparing documentation and presentations for site approvals.

Lease Coordination & Renewal Support

  • Track lease expiry timelines and maintain updated lease records.
  • Support in engaging landlords on renewal discussions and gathering updated terms.
  • Prepare comparison sheets, draft proposals and assist in administrative requirements for lease negotiations.

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Assist in researching local regulations, mall requirements, and basic compliance needs.
  • Coordinate submission of documents and follow ups with legal and compliance teams for permits, licenses and approvals.

Project Coordination

  • Support the Manager in developing project timelines and tracking milestone progress.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely information flow to ensure handover.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Maintain good working relationships with landlords, property agents, and external vendors.
  • Coordinate meetings, follow ups and documentations with internal teams.
  • Support the Manager in ensuring alignment of expansion and renewal plans.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in retail operations, business development, real estate support, or related roles.
  • Basic understanding of the current retail landscape and commercial leasing fundamentals.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and administrative skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Prior exposure to lease documentation, site evaluation, or project coordination will be an advantage.
