Role Overview

The Business Director (Leasing – Fashion Retail) is responsible for leading the company's leasing strategy, forging strong partnerships with global fashion brands, and optimizing the retail portfolio across multiple markets. This role will drive commercial growth through data-driven negotiations, strategic tenant mix planning, and long-term relationship management with brand partners and landlords.


Key Responsibilities
Leasing Strategy & Portfolio Management
  • Develop and execute the overall leasing strategy for fashion retail portfolios.
  • Identify high-potential retail opportunities and assess market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Build and maintain a strong tenant mix aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
  • Oversee negotiations for new leases, renewals, expansions, and terminations.
Business Development & Partnerships
  • Lead business development initiatives to attract premium global and regional fashion brands.
  • Establish and strengthen long-term relationships with international brand principals, franchisees, and retail partners.
  • Represent the company in industry events, trade shows, and high-level partner meetings.
Financial & Commercial Management
  • Develop annual leasing and revenue targets; monitor performance to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Review and approve commercial terms, proposals, and business cases.
  • Work closely with the finance team to analyze ROI, occupancy costs, and market rental benchmarks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, design/fit-out, and legal teams to ensure smooth store openings and brand onboarding.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the leasing team to drive performance and maintain high standards of professionalism.
  • Ensure all leasing activities adhere to corporate policies, legal requirements, and brand standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1.5 years of proven experience as a Business Development Director or Head of Leasing at the Director level
  • Strong background in the fashion industry, preferably with a well-known global brand
  • Demonstrated success in driving leasing strategies, building brand partnerships, and expanding retail footprints
