About the role

As a Supply Chain Cost Manager at WESTERN DIGITAL STORAGE TECHNOLOGIES (THAILAND) LTD.', you will be responsible for managing and optimising the supply chain costs for the company's operations in Ayutthaya, Thailand. This full-time position is a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and profitability of the company's manufacturing and logistics processes.

What you'll be doing

  1. Program management for various cost management projects
  2. Research and design use cases for spend analytics
  3. Leverage AI tools to drive spend analytics solutions
  4. Collaborating with other groups (IDM, DM, Logistics, etc.) to deliver cost savings and working capital results
  5. Analysing and reporting on supply chain costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures
  6. Negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and pricing for materials, services and transportation
  7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and reduce waste throughout the supply chain
  8. Developing and maintaining accurate financial models to forecast and manage supply chain budgets
  9. Identifying and implementing new technologies and strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency
  10. Providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management on supply chain performance and cost optimisation

What we're looking for

  1. Design and analyze cost-saving and working capital projects
  2. Understanding of supply chain and finance principles to enable cost saving projects
  3. Good presentation skills including written, oral, presentation
  4. Good organizational skills including tool utilization (spreadsheets, project management tools), information collection, attention to detail, and prioritization
  5. Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration across multiple areas and management levels
  6. Significant experience (7+ years) in a supply chain or logistics management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
  7. Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights
  8. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  9. Proficient in using supply chain management software and data analysis tools
  10. Degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, or a related field
  11. Fluency in English
