Senior Sales Manager – Freight Forwarding

  1. Develop and execute strategic sales plans for Air, Sea, and Cross-Border freight forwarding to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  2. Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and industry trends to strengthen the company's competitive position.
  3. Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through customized logistics and freight solutions.
  4. Collaborate with Pricing and Operations teams to prepare competitive quotations and ensure deal profitability through regular P&L reviews.
  5. Lead, coach, and manage Sales Executives and Sales Support teams to achieve departmental and individual KPIs.
  6. Monitor and evaluate team performance, identify training needs, and conduct regular coaching to improve sales capability and service quality.
  7. Establish clear sales targets, budgets, and performance indicators for each team member, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  8. Design and manage Sales Commission and Incentive schemes to drive performance, motivation, and retention.
  9. Review and optimize sales, quotation, and communication processes to enhance operational efficiency and customer responsiveness.
  10. Promote effective collaboration among Sales, Sales Support, CS, and Operations teams to deliver seamless customer service.
  11. Prepare and present sales performance reports, forecasts, and profitability analyses to senior management.
  12. Manage annual sales budgets, control costs, and support cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer experience and business growth.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  2. Minimum 10-15 years of sales experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation, with at least 5 years in a managerial/senior role.
  3. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in Air, Sea, and Cross-Border freight forwarding.
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills; capable of mentoring and motivating a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding operations, customs clearance, and transportation services.
  6. Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience in P&L management and KPI monitoring.
  7. Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and computer literacy.
  9. Strategic thinker with strong market insight and the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
