Job Purpose

The Strategic Account Executive acts as a trusted bridge between clients and internal teams — combining the strategic thinking of a planner, the relationship skills of an account executive, and the project management discipline of a producer.

You will lead client relationships, design impactful marketing strategies, and ensure smooth, data-driven execution that grows both client success and company reputation across the CLMV region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and qualify potential B2B clients across CLMV and regional markets.
  • Collaborate with the Content and Media teams to build and maintain automated lead databases.
  • Initiate contact and schedule introductory meetings with key decision-makers.
  • Generate new opportunities through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
  • Stay updated on CLMV market trends, audience behavior, and emerging digital platforms.

2. Strategic Planning & Market Insight

  • Gather insightful briefs to understand client business models, objectives, and market positioning.
  • Clarify abstract needs into measurable KPIs aligned with client business goals.
  • Analyze stakeholder and decision-making structures to tailor communication approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Content, Media, Activation) to create strategic communication plans with clear ROI metrics and compelling storytelling.
  • Design and oversee internal or external research (surveys, market studies, competitor analysis) to inform strategy.
  • Conduct internal presentation practice sessions to refine messaging, anticipate client questions, and ensure alignment before client meetings.
  • Present the strategic plan to clients, address concerns confidently, and revise proposals as needed.

    Conduct post-pitch reviews to capture lessons learned and share improvement ideas with the team.

3. Project Management & Client Relationship

  • Develop project briefs, action plans, and timelines for internal and outsourced teams.
  • Estimate and manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure profitability and quality.
  • Establish communication channels and progress-tracking workflows to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Maintain organized project documentation for transparency and delegation.
  • Monitor execution quality, conduct QC checks, and manage feedback loops with precision.
  • Anticipate potential issues and apply crisis-prevention measures based on past learnings.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, turning data into actionable recommendations for campaign optimization and growth.
  • Foster long-term partnerships by consistently delivering results that exceed expectations.
  • Request referrals and testimonials when client satisfaction is high.

4. Continuous Learning & Improvement

  • Track campaign data and market performance to refine strategic frameworks.
  • Summarize insights into actionable recommendations for creative, content, and media teams.
  • Share case studies, results, and learnings with the team to strengthen organizational knowledge.
  • Stay informed about evolving marketing tools, AI applications, and automation trends to enhance workflow efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Account Management, Strategic Planning, or Marketing roles (agency experience preferred).
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of CLMV market culture and consumer behavior.
  • Proficient in English (B2 level or higher); additional CLMV languages are an advantage.
  • Confident in presentation, storytelling, and negotiation.
  • Data-driven mindset with creativity and flexibility in execution.
