As a Sales Engineer at JBTM, you will play a vital role in utilizing your technical expertise and food industry knowledge, and using JBTM's multiple sales and application tools to provide the sales team with our most competitive offers of JBTM's leading technologies for the Prepared Foods segment:

Freezing and Chilling solutions

Frying and Cooking solutions

Coating solutions

The Opportunity ...
As a project driver and direct sales support within the JBTM Group, your role involves working closely and collaboratively with various teams, including Sales, Project Management, and MBUs (Manufacturing and Business Units).

  • Pro-active communication with our frontlines sales team and their clients to understand their unique requirements and challenges in the food industry.

  • Apply a strong understanding of the food process to develop and customize technical solutions that optimize production processes, ensuring product quality, and meeting industry standards.

  • Utilize your technical expertise to conduct assessments and provide recommendations for improving existing food production systems and implementing new solutions as well as TOC and ROI calculations.

  • Coordinate MS Team calls between the JBT MBUs (manufacturing and business units) and local Project Management team to align on standalone machine solutions or line solutions concerning:

  • Food processing applications data

  • Drawings
  • Operating pricing tools and calculate project gross margins in MS Excel
  • Updating costs and application related documents in Sales Force
  • Management of the project proposal development, costing and approval process
  • Review and articulate customer related Tender Documentation and or URS.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and developments in food science to contribute to the continuous improvement of our product offerings.

The primary role is to support the SEA Sales Team to achieve the annual sales target. You will be part of the world leading JBTM organization and work in a dynamic team of application engineers located across the Asia Pacific Region as well as in Europe and USA.

The job will require regular travel within SEA and Asia Pacific as needed.

You will report to the Manager Sales Support, APAC based in India

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Some experience as an Application Engineer or in a similar technical role within the food machinery supply industry.
  • Technical background and expertise in food processing know how.
  • Ability to travel across the region.
  • Excellent communication (English) and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
  • Experience in working in an international environment and communicating across multiple cultures and country time zones.
  • Solid understanding of the sales process.
  • MS office skill to create Power Point Presentation, Excel files etc.
  • Proficient in CAD software (basics)
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to work in dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to following established procedures and workflows.
