Overview of the role

RMA Automotive Parts team is developing new business focusing on extending new product range and distribution networks within Southeast Asia.

The Automotive Parts Sales Executive role will be responsible for developing existing key customers and identifying new potential customers, reporting directly to the Business Development Manager and based in Laem Chabang, Chonburi.

This role requires extensive traveling across Southeast Asia and other potential markets.

Knowledge responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of sales strategies, market research, competitive analysis, sales forecasting, and sales report generation.
  • Strong knowledge of international business functions, including logistics, financial currency, and export regulation
  • Southeast Asia automotive market knowledge

Internal/External Interactions:

Internal:

  • Direct report to Business development manager based in Thailand
  • Communicate with team members and the Business Development Manager to ensure that all relevant information is forwarded to the appropriate personnel regularly and in a timely manner.
  • Cross-functional collaboration within RMA SV and GFS

External:

  • Ensure that all required documents are available and submitted to customer with competitive price
  • Responsible to provide all technical information support and documentation and make sure that customer fully understand quotation

Functional Responsibilities

  1. Sale and New Market Development

  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to develop a distribution network for parts and accessories.

  3. Develop and maintain market information on the various sectors and who are the main contacts and key influencers in current customers and prospects.
  4. Led in identifying and developing new markets. Prepare and deliver pitches and project benefits to potential new clients.
  5. Propose a travel plan to capture new business or a new market. Be able to travel alone and present distribution network benefits. Identify any opportunities and provide a trip report.
  6. Ensure the existing strategic sales processes are maintained to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.

2. Business Reports and Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze sales activities and prepare regular reports for the business development manager, including market trends and competitive analysis.
  • Driving strategic growth initiatives and providing analysis to support the development of new business opportunities.
  • Design and generate new report management as needed

3. Marketing

  • Conduct market research, price benchmarking, brand competitors, and distributor networks. Understand consumer requirements and identify trends and opportunities in a potential market target.
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies, campaigns, and materials to meet set business targets.
  • Design comprehensive proposals and pitch materials, including extensive writing to comply with client requirements aimed at winning new business.

4. Project managing

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and ensure that project timelines are agreed and achieved

5. Communications

  • Maintain positive and supportive relationships with all customers, emphasizing RMA's commitment to customer care.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducted thorough sales forecasts and contribution margins and evaluated risks by customer and market.
  • Ensure total sales and margin target are achieved

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Highly flexible with the ability to travel overseas.
  • Extensively throughout Southeast Asia and other potential market

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Knowledge of automotive industry and its parts and accessories market is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

  • At least 5 years' experience in sales or business development role
  • Fluent in written & spoken English - Other languages a
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Oversea Business Trip
