Job Description:

- Mentor and manage the Focus Factory Purchasing team to ensure optimum effectiveness while acting as a role model and projecting a positive attitude.
- This should also include monitoring workload distribution among the team members and allocating tasks appropriately.
- Ensure the Focus Factory Purchasing team is following all Processes and work instructions on a regular basis and participate in this process as required.
- Ensure Buyer attend WO Detail meetings, are prepared to provide status updates to the team.
- Act as a liaison to customer for purchasing issues to ensure effective resolution.
- This will also include ensuring team members are trained and have a good understanding of the requirements of customer contracts (LOI/LOU, PSA, MSA, etc.) and are in compliance with the applicable requirements.
- Initiate new programs or concepts to enhance purchasing activities.
- Benchmark the Purchasing activities and system flow with other companies to improve efficiencies. Monitor and minimize customer material liabilities.
- Update and maintain all demand planning metrics and additional metrics as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; a Graduate degree is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of progressive related management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge in Oracle JDE are highly desirable.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
- Ability to provide leadership, direction and guidance to members of the operations management team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good oral and written communication skills are necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, computer literacy, electronic industry knowledge and ability to supervise.
- Passion for customer and operational excellence that translates to members of the customer focus material teams to effectively implement customer strategy.
- Proficiency and demonstration of the Plexus Values and Leadership Competencies.
