- Controlling delivery routes to drivers based on factors such as delivery locations, time constraints, vehicle capacity, and traffic conditions.
- Optimize routes to minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
- Communicate delivery instructions, safety information, changes, and updates to drivers using communication tools such as radios, phones, or messaging apps.
- Provide clear directions and address driver inquiries or concerns.
- Monitor the progress of deliveries in real-time using GPS tracking systems or Vehicle timeline system and fleet management software.
- Address any deviations from planned routes or unexpected delays.
- Allocate vehicles, drivers, and other resources to meet delivery schedules and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with production team to ensure timely loading and unloading of products.
- Manage delivery time windows and deadlines to ensure that products are delivered within specified timeframes.
- Adjust routes and schedules as needed to accommodate changes in delivery priorities.
- Address any issues that arise during deliveries, such as traffic congestion, vehicle breakdowns, customer station issues, or route closures.
- Make quick decisions to minimize disruptions and maintain delivery efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules, routes, driver hours, and any incidents.
- Generate reports on delivery performance, route efficiency, and resource utilization.
- Interact with customers to provide delivery updates, address inquiries, and resolve issues related to deliveries.
- Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other, such as fleet planning, logistics, maintenance and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate with other tactical and supervisors to coordinate overall distribution efforts.
- Ensure that all distribution activities adhere to relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts in case of accidents, breakdowns, or unforeseen incidents during deliveries.
- คุณสมบัติ
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with using GPS and fleet management software.
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with drivers, customers, and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Quick decision-making ability to address unexpected challenges and changes.
- Proficiency in using communication tools such as radios, phones, and messaging apps.
- Problem-solving skills to navigate route disruptions and unforeseen issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of transportation regulations and safety guidelines.
- Customer-oriented mindset to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Adaptability to changing situations and willingness to work flexible hours.
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and geography can be advantageous.
