Manager, Digital Forwarding

**Job Description**:
We are looking for people looking to change the way trade traditionally operates. In the role of Manager, Group Digital Forwarding - you will be empowered to drive technology improvements and introduce new working principles to ensure a seamless trade experience for our customers. You will be expected to lead a team of 5-10 people. This is a full-time role and you will be based out of our offices in the Kuala Lumpur Air Cargo Terminal (KACT) around the airport premise.

**A DAY IN A LIFE**

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

- Manage performance of the digital forwarding team and the customs teams - ensure project management skills are developed within the team to ensure seamless movement of goods both locally and cross-border
- Lead the troubleshooting and escalation of issues related to our digital forwarding platforms - ensure that the necessary technology improvements or integrations take place i.e.: integration with 3rd party customs agencies
- Develop clear working principles for the teams to enabled an empowered and efficient working environment - eliminate layers, avoid duplication of work, create clear accountability among the team members
- Lead the coordination of medium to large scale projects, ensuring you develop a great client experience and develop customer stickiness; train up the teams in the process
- Continuously identify and execute on opportunities to automate and eliminate manual work - ensure that the environment of work enables full transparency and easy tracking of performances i.e.: think dashboards
- Work closely with the Product and Technology team to make improvements on our Digital Forwarding platform, drive sprints or pilot implementation projects where necessary

- Data-driven - you swear by it, and make sure that you find ways to get it
- Experience leading a team of 5-10 people
- Strong project management skills, ideally across 5-8 cross functional teams
- Good organisation awareness - knowing who to engage or leverage to execute
- Technology savvy, consistently seeing out tech can be leveraged to enhance our services
- People person - able to motivate and influence a team to perform
- Proven success in utilizing technology to drive enhancements
- Experience working in a startup environment / fast-paced environment
- Multilingual

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelors (any field)
- 5-7 years working experience, 3+ years in a role requiring project management/client success
