**JOB PURPOSE**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

This role manages the Global Ocean Freight for the Ice Cream organization.

Global Ocean Freight:

- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies for global ocean freight.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with ocean freight carriers to secure the best rates and services.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including logistics, supply chain, and finance, to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Analyze freight spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in ocean freight procurement.

**EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on packing materials and logistics in the FMCG sector.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in procurement.
