Job Title : Formulation Technologist - Ice Cream

Department : R&D Refreshment Deploy SEAA

Work Location: RDC, Minburi Factory (Latkrabang I.E.)

Job Objective
- To assist development managers on developing new and / or modified formulations of ice cream products and ensure that they meet the consumer's taste / expectation and Company's requirements by the following:

- Alternative raw materials : To carry out appropriate testing at lab / pilot or production scale (if needed) to ensure the alternative raw materials and suppliers meet our requirement on every aspects (specification, taste,quality,supply) To be responsible for sensory evaluation work, conduct the test and report the result to all concerns.
- To assist TPL in develop new raw materials for using in new product formulations, make sure that raw materials intending to use meet our requirement on every aspects (taste, quality,supply, process).
- To assist TPL in developing new product formulations, ensure the new products meet our requirements on physical properties, sensory, cost and processability.
- To supervise technician and conduct on the preparation of sample development according to various recipes.
- To carry out pilot plant trial in order to study and collect the initial process condition and information, report data to all concerns before actual production trial.
- To be responsible for production trial and commissioning (depending on project scale / complexity, co-operate with Production team, Process Development team & Packaging development team on the product trial, make sure completeness and smoothness of production before hand over to the Production team.
- To provide detailed information (from internal & external) for specification team to create specification.

**Responsibilities**:

- To assist TPL on new product development and Sole responsibility improvement existing products quality to meet the company requirement. include others development work to support SEA.
- To assist TPL in developing new raw materials to be used in ice cream product, Sole responsibility ensure that the raw material meet our requirement on taste, quality, sourcing and Unilever standard.
- To coordinate and support Buying and Supplier Development on new and Joint responsibility alternative raw materials approval, make sure that raw materials and suppliers are meet the agreed objective and requirement.
- To assist TPLs on developing new ice cream Sole responsibility product formulations, ensure that the formulations meet our requirement on physical properties, sensory, cost and processability.
- To use the OASIS (the ice cream formulation analysis program) as a tool Sole responsibility for developing ice cream recipes and predicting ice cream properties.
- To supervise Product Development Technicians on the preparation of Ice Advisory cream samples development in order to define the formulations and recommended process conditions.
- To be responsible for preparation of development product samples for Joint responsibility Product Development Managers and Marketing to evaluate including any samples for presentation, meeting, visitors.

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:
Education
- Graduate degree in Food Science and Technology or relevant

Relevant experience:

- At least 2 years working experiences
- Experiences in managing projects with speed and good standard results is ideal
- Good engagement to business teams and cross-functional teams is key.
