The Role

A disaster recovery manager designs, implements, and manages disaster recovery plans of an organization. Their role is imperative in ensuring business continuance and minimizing -if not eliminating
- company losses in the event of a disaster.

To attain this goal, disaster recovery managers conduct risk assessments to identify potential problems. Then, they form disaster recovery strategies based on research and prior incidents, if there are any. After implementation, they are also in charge of monitoring the strategies they put in place, as well as making any modifications when necessary.

To move up career path, the disaster recovery manager oversees the delivery of operational projects within scope, schedule and budget.

Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Experience
- Experience in DR solutioning, planning, implementation, testing, etc.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Interdependencies and technologies
- Organization and planning skills
- Project Management skills
- Teamwork with “one team” philosophy
- Strong people management skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels
