Workplace Technology Lead

This role is responsible for leading a team of IT professionals within the region to support, mentor, and ensuring the team is aligned with IT strategy & supporting business initiatives and growths. The team is the first point of contact from business users for IT related services.
Key Objectives of the role include:
People
- Be the local IT interface and custodian for business stakeholders
- Responsible to grow and develop the local workplace technology team members
Process
- Communicate Group IT initiatives for the business functions across the region
- Channel business queries, requests, and functions through the relevant IT services leaders
- Manage IT support activities, ensuring compliance with ITSM best practice
- Act as the key point of contact to key management within the region.
- Support key business initiatives and projects, including office relocations and Mergers/Acquisition activities
Technology
- Drive technology adoption through user education sessions and documentation
- Lead technology delivery, ensure IT initiatives are communicated, embedded, and supported
- Identify opportunities to increase value from technology investments
Financial
- Prepare, maintain, and follow up IT budget for responsible countries.
- Monitor and maintain financial records, fixed assets to agreed requirements for compliance and audit.
- Identify product, services and project component costs for financial planning and budgeting.
- Collates required financial data and reports for analysis and to facilitate decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides operational direction, support, and guidance to assigned colleagues
- Provide VIP support to key stakeholders, prioritize support works to achieve best efficiency with limited resource
- Allocates routine tasks or project work, in line with team objectives and individual capabilities.
- Monitors performance and takes corrective action where necessary
- Develops new methods and optimize efficiency through automation for systems and services
- Facilitates effective working relationships between team members
Experience, qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Project Management, Business, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology, with 3+ years in management role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is a must
- Hands-on experience on active directory, O365, end user computing, meeting room facilities and collaboration tools
- Familiar with ITIL standard and able delivery effective services within ITIL framework
- People leadership - Previous experience in leading high performing teams.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to provide advice and delivery outcomes within a complex environment is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise quickly and focus on the highest impact
- Track record in project delivering optimal solutions to business needs with IT systems
