**What You Will Do**

The Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and hiring a cross functional operations team located in Ayutthaya. Direct reports into this position will include a team of approximately 3-4 individuals comprising positions in Quality, Product Engineering, Manufacturing/Test Engineering and Supply Chain.

This team will support this growing business with Trimble’s Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners in Thailand. They will participate in supporting Trimble business areas with key business processes including assisting with completion of corrective actions, engineering changes, cost savings, process and production audits, lead-time reductions, new supplier audits, EOL monitoring and overall performance at our CM partners. The mission of this team is to support delivering efficient and cost effective solutions for transitioning products from design to manufacturing.

**You’ll additionally be responsible for**:

- Work with Operations Management to build a cross-functional team in Thailand and assist in selecting and hiring staff. Team will be resident at CM in Thailand.
- When in place, lead a cross-functional team to ensure all customer commitments are met.
- Assist Operations Management in measuring CM supplier performance through Scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s).
- Surface critical CM issues to senior management.
- Assist Trimble business areas in tracking CM programs against its schedule, budget and against phase review objectives, reporting status to Trimble business areas on a regular basis and Trimble Operations Senior Management.
- Assist Trimble business areas in developing and implementing recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated eventualities.
- Understand the impact new Trimble business areas products will have on existing CM operations and processes.
- Acting as an effective tactical and strategic planner to meet deadlines.
- Help to develop new CM processes as they are required.
- Interface with multi-site development teams.
- Assist in leading the DFx issues resolution and meetings within the team with CM’s suppliers and communicate to R&D.
- Work with internal Trimble business area teams to ensure release to production and acceptability requirements for production are met.
- Work with Trimble business areas Manufacturing Engineers in defining the collection of data on test results to substantiate requirements for CM process improvement.
- Work with Trimble Supply Chain and Procurement to ensure the cost targets and gross margins are met throughout the product life cycle.
- Manage / work ECOs and change processes effectively and ensure all requirements are met.
- Assist Trimble business areas in project plans for pilot and first production actions and deliverables.
- Report status/progress to Trimble business areas cross functional team and gatekeepers.
- Write and communicate annual performance reviews on employees in Taiwan.
- Along with the Trimble CM Commodity Manager assist establishing CM metrics, communicate and align as needed.

**What Skills & Experience You Should Bring**
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Engineer (preference to Electronic / Industrial Engineering or similar)
- Significant experience in a manufacturing environment with direct experience in Program Management/Project Management/Materials Management with experience working for or with a CM.
- Expertise in managing large, complex, interrelated projects, programs, and functions.
- Proven experience working with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
- Experience in DFx (design for cost, test, manufacturing, supply chain, reliability, service, etc.).
- Familiarity with PCB/PCBA and manufacturing test development process.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Business fluency in both English and Thai.
- Excellent analytical skills, including some financial and cost analysis, use of complex spreadsheets and other tools.
- Excellent people management skills with ability to mentor and develop employees.
