Accounting Associate

Bangkok, Thailand (Fulltime)
- We are looking for an
- **Accounting Associate** to join our fast-paced finance team to create the most powerful freelancing platform in Southeast Asia. As you strive to meet and exceed quota, you will always act in the best interest of the company, align with Fastwork’s culture and values, and contribute to the lively dynamic of the team.**Responsibilities**:

- Perform day-to-day accounts payable and related accounting activities. Make payments to local/oversea suppliers and internal company members.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of documents and data records. Comply with applicable tax regulations and accounting standards.
- Prepare accrued expenses with supporting documentation in accordance with company policy and procedure to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review input VAT report filling and input VAT reconciliation, as well as clearing deferred VAT on a monthly basis.
- Process and maintain withholding tax certificates to ensure that all related transactions are completed and aligned with the regulations.
- Perform month-end closing activities, such as monthly accounts payable reconciliation, as well as overall analysis to detect unusual items and propose resolution on discrepancies/outstanding (if any).
- Monitor the accounting operations, procedures and associated systems. Make sure that they are operating properly and are complied with internal controls, regulations, accounting principles and standards.
- Ensure that unusual items or cases are appropriately brought up for discussion and are resolved in a timely manner with the assistance of a supervisor.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and external service providers to ensure that accounts payable-related activities are completed on time and accurately.
- Provide any necessary support to projects, initiatives, process enhancement, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- At least 3 year experiences Accounting
- Ability to manage AP and support internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge in tax fields e.g. withholding tax and or value-added tax
- Proficiency in using MS office especially Excel
- Well organized with ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Dynamic and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a growth mindset
- A team player who can also work independently or with minimum supervision
