**About the role**
In this role, the procurement strategist/ assistant manager will be responsible for supporting procurement activities related to Solar Trade Business in SEA, to design, plan and execute purchasing strategies including tracking purchasing performance and manage vendor partnerships. This position will work closely with solar procurement team members and direct report to the Procurement Manager in Thailand.
The location can be based in any of our offices in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, or Vietnam.

What You Will Do
- Sourcing products and services, evaluating suppliers, negotiating with suppliers for the best deal of the purchase agreements., aligning with technical and commercial requirements.
- Designing and implementing purchasing strategy for the business.
- Performing Supplier Relationship Management.
- Reporting and controlling daily operational purchasing activities such as order planning, contract negotiation, Purchase Order issuance and order status monitoring including payment plan and delivery schedule.
- Handling the claim process and aligning with related parties internally and externally to ensure all claim cases are closed.
- Monitoring & controlling purchasing performance & saving report, tracking purchasing order status and controlling Purchasing document report.
- Prompt Purchasing Order issuance, saving performance from negotiation, on-time order delivery and effective payment plan.
- Accurate and punctual procurement performance report including purchasing documentation report
- Smart purchasing process improvement (SOP, digitization and visualization on ERP system)
- Purchasing strategy and problem-solving suggestion to supply chain team.
- Improving procurement process and developing the purchasing reports by and digitalizing and visualizing them on ERP system.
- Supporting logistics team along the order delivery and importation procedures and ensuring the order arrives as planned with a minimum cost.
- Supporting Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and aligning with other departments to ensure the supply meets the demand. Solving the problems and providing guidance to team.

What You Bring
- 6-8 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain in a similar role and/ or industry experience (solar or distribution business would be advantageous)
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain/ logistics management, or a similar field preferred. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience in developing procurement strategies, procurement planning, inventory planning, and purchasing performance management to align with business objectives.
- Experience in process automation and familiarity with digital transformation concepts and technologies to streamline and improve the business processes.
- Strong analytical skills in market or business transaction analysis; able to transform data into actionable insights and contribute to the organization ‘s success.
- Strong negotiation skills with effective communication and collaboration abilities with suppliers, vendors, or internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail with high accuracy, report preparation and problem-solving skill.
- Hands-on, multi-tasking and able to work independently as well as in a small dynamic team.
- Good English communication and knowledge in **Mandarin or other Chinese Language** is a plus.
