Position Title: Field AI Engineer / Field AI Specialist

Department: Technology Team

Reports To: Assistant Chief AI Officer

Location: Based in Thailand — frequent travel and on-site factory deployment required

Role Overview

The Field AI Engineer plays a key role in implementing digital and AI-driven technologies across Sri Trang's manufacturing sites.

This position acts as the deployment champion, ensuring that new systems are installed, tested, and adopted effectively by factory teams.

You will work closely with both the central technology team and factory departments, spending significant time on-site during system rollout, integration, and training periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Deployment & On-Site Setup

    • Install, configure, and test digital and AI-enabled systems at factory sites.

    • Collaborate with IT/OT engineers to connect sensors, machines, and data interfaces.

    • Support pilot runs, performance validation, and optimization during deployment.
  • User Training & Adoption

    • Train operators, engineers, and supervisors on how to use new digital tools effectively.

    • Simplify technical concepts into practical, easy-to-understand instructions.

    • Act as the on-site focal point for questions, troubleshooting, and user support.
  • Data & Feedback Collection

    • Collect operational and sensor data to monitor performance and support continuous improvement.

    • Track user adoption and gather feedback for system enhancement.

    • Report deployment status, technical issues, and improvement suggestions to the central team.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with factory quality, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless implementation.

    • Coordinate between on-site factory operations and central development teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Factory Systems, Industrial Automation, or Digital Transformation projects.
  • Basic understanding of PLC/SCADA systems, Sensors, and Industrial Data Acquisition.
  • Knowledge of Smart Factory, IoT deployment, or AI Implementation in Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in AI deployment, IoT gateway setup, or edge device configuration is an advantage.
  • Familiar with Power BI, Grafana, SQL, or Python.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to train, support, and build trust with factory teams.
  • Willing to travel frequently and stay on-site during deployment periods.
