Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to maximize tax privileges by leveraging BOI incentives and FTA, focusing on import duty exemptions for materials and machinery to reduce costs and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and submit BOI applications for new projects, including all required documentation, project details, financial projections, and technical specifications.
  • Liaise directly with BOI officers to address inquiries, provide clarifications, and facilitate timely approval of investment promotion certificates.
  • Submit ruling requests or consult with customs officers to confirm tariff classifications and ensure regulatory accuracy.
  • Provide clarifications HS codes, rationale, and supporting documents for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Compare with previously classified items or rulings to maintain consistency and avoid classification errors.
  • Stay updated on changes in global trade laws, customs practices, and BOI policies, regulations, and incentive programs to ensure strategic alignment and proactive compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a role involving direct interaction with BOI & Customs.
  • Strong understanding of Thai corporate law, customs regulations, and tax implications related to BOI promotions.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changes in regulations and laws, and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
