Our client is leading global manufacturer of power-electronics components, transformers, and LED-driver solutions. Headquartered in China with operations worldwide, the company supplies high-quality, energy-efficient products to the lighting, industrial, renewable energy, and utility sectors. With 2 R&D centers and 4 production bases, including its newly established plant in Chonburi, our client is looking for an experienced and driven Customs and Logistics Director to lead the department.

They are currently looking for a Customs & Logistics Director to oversee end-to-end customs operations in Thailand, ensuring full regulatory compliance, efficiency in clearance procedures, and alignment with BOI requirements. The successful candidate will lead a local customs team, coordinate with Thai government authorities, and implement risk controls to support the company's expanding regional supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all import and export customs activities in Thailand, ensuring full compliance with local laws and operational efficiency.
  • Manage customs documentation, declarations, inspections, and regulatory engagement with Thai customs authorities.
  • Monitor and interpret customs-related policies, including Free Trade Agreements (FTA), to support ongoing business operations.
  • Establish a customs risk management framework to achieve 100% compliance and reduce regulatory exposure.
  • Lead efforts to streamline logistics and clearance processes, targeting a 20% reduction in overall supply chain cycle time.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to address issues across customs, warehousing, and transportation flows.
  • Develop and lead the local customs and logistics team, driving capability building and performance improvement.
  • Ensure BOI-related processes are compliant and aligned with the company's operational structure and entitlements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience managing customs operations and logistics in Thailand.
  • Strong knowledge of Thai customs codes, import/export laws, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) procedures.
  • Proven experience liaising with Thai customs authorities to resolve regulatory matters.
  • Experience managing BOI-related customs documentation and entitlements.
  • Business-level fluency in both Thai and English; able to manage international documentation and communication.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Able to manage teams, optimize workflows, and operate under pressure in a fast-moving manufacturing environment manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing customs/logistics teams and driving KPI performance.
  • Business-level proficiency in both Thai and English, with the ability to handle international documentation and communication.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of implementing systemic process improvements across logistics operations.
