About the Role

We are seeking Director-level Full Stack Engineers to join a high-impact, long-term project based in Thailand. This is a senior leadership-technical hybrid role suited for engineers who can both architect complex systems and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. While the role spans the full stack, the core development focus will be React Native. You will be expected to understand and make decisions across all layers of the system — frontend, backend, infrastructure, and integrations

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical architecture design and decision-making for a large-scale mobile application project.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise application features primarily using React Native.
  • Work across the full stack when required (API, backend services, cloud, database, CI/CD).
  • Provide technical leadership, review code, and mentor mid-level and junior engineers.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and leadership teams.
  • Communicate complex technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in on-site project phases in Thailand, as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Director-level engineering experience or equivalent senior full-stack leadership role.
  • Proven ability to architect, design, and scale modern applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React Native.
  • Solid understanding of backend technologies , Java, or similar), REST APIs, databases, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Excellent cross-team communication skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, justify architectural decisions, and present to leadership.

Location Requirements

  • Due to project requirements:
  • Thai nationals OR Candidates based in Thailand, OR
  • Candidates from Hong Kong willing to travel to Thailand for extended periods (weeks at a time).
  • Highly competitive rate up to USD 8,500/month, reflecting the seniority and leadership scope of the role.
  • 1-year minimum engagement with potential extension.

Ideal Candidate

  • A very senior, full-stack ReactNative developer, with extensive experience AS A TEAM LEADER, helping to architect, co-ordinate and communicate requirements, have a stronger ability to push back and help more with architecture/planning. Ideally based in Thailand and Thai-speaking. 
    (If not a Thai speaker, their English level needs to be 8.5+/10 (very strong).)
  • Can balance hands-on development with high-level architectural thinking.
  • Communicates clearly and decisively.
  • Enjoys taking ownership and shaping the direction of a major project.
  • Is flexible with travel and excited to work closely with teams in Thailand.

Working Hours & Compensation:

  • Working Time: 9 AM – 6 PM (Vietnam Time)
  • 12 days of annual leave
  • Extra pay for overtime
  • Salary paid in NET (USD)
