Role Purpose

As Global Process Owner (GPO) for Product Master Data, you will own end-to-end process and lifecycle management of Product Master data. The GPO – Product Master Data is accountable for the design, ownership, and continuous improvement of end-to-end product master data processes across the enterprise. As the link between Global Data Governance, Master Data Operations, D&T, and Business Units, the GPO maps the end-to-end process and drives standards, policies, and transformation initiatives to unlock value from product master data.

Key Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Excellence

  • Own end-to-end product master data processes, covering creation, maintenance, enrichment, and deactivation across systems (ERP, PLM, PIM, CRM).
  • Translate business needs into data and process requirements.
  • Identify and drive process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
  • Define, monitor, and report on KPIs such as data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and cycle time.

System Implementation

  • Provide domain expertise in Product Master Data for ERP (SAP S/4HANA, AX09, AX12, etc.), PLM, and PIM implementations.
  • Support design, build, testing, cutover, change impact assessment, and stabilization phases of SAP rollout.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Data Management, or related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in Product Master Data Management, Data Governance, or Supply Chain/ERP transformation.
  • Strong background in ERP (SAP), PLM, and/or PIM systems.
  • Proven track record of leading global process ownership and cross-functional data initiatives.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP implementations.

  • Deep understanding of product data lifecycle and its impact across supply chain, finance, sales, and digital commerce.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • Process mindset: ability to design, document, optimize, and standardize processes.
  • Analytical skills: ability to define KPIs, monitor performance, and identify root causes.
  • Change management experience: ability to drive adoption across global/local teams.
  • Comfortable with data management tools, workflows, dashboards, and automation.
