Role OverviewThe Global Process Owner (GPO) for Product Master Data is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management of product master data across the organization. This role ensures the design, governance, and continuous improvement of processes that enable accurate, consistent, and timely product data. Acting as the key link between Global Data Governance, Master Data Operations, Digital & Technology, and Business Units, the GPO drives standards, policies, and transformation initiatives to maximize the value of product master data.
Key Responsibilities
Process Ownership & Excellence
- Own and manage end-to-end product master data processes, including creation, maintenance, enrichment, and deactivation across ERP, PLM, PIM, and CRM systems.
- Translate business requirements into data and process solutions.
- Lead initiatives for process improvement, standardization, and automation.
- Define and monitor KPIs such as data accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and cycle time.
System Implementation
- Provide subject matter expertise in Product Master Data for ERP (SAP S/4HANA, AX09, AX12), PLM, and PIM implementations.
- Support all phases of SAP rollout including design, build, testing, cutover, impact assessment, and stabilization.

Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Data Management, or related field.
- 8–12+ years of experience in Product Master Data Management, Data Governance, or ERP/Supply Chain transformation.
- Strong expertise in ERP (SAP), PLM, and/or PIM systems.
- Proven track record in global process ownership and cross-functional data initiatives.
- Experience with large-scale ERP implementations.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of product data lifecycle and its impact across supply chain, finance, sales, and digital commerce.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Ability to design, document, optimize, and standardize processes.
- Analytical mindset with capability to define KPIs and drive performance improvements.
- Experience in change management and driving adoption across global/local teams.
- Proficiency with data management tools, workflows, dashboards, and automation.
